Vancouver Foundation knows that arts and culture plays a vital role in our communities. Arts and culture helps us celebrate our past and traditions, document our present, and envision our future. It also helps us expand our creativity, and contributes to our community’s economy and vibrancy.

Our Small Arts Grants program is a new initiative that is helping to foster individual achievement amongst local artists. Created in 2008, in partnership with Carnegie Community Centre, this program supports artists who live in the Downtown Eastside neighbourhood.

With small grants of $500 to $1,000, we are giving artists the opportunity to expand their portfolio, and show their work publicly.
